My name is Chen and … **Abstract:** I spent the first 10 years of my life in Tangshan, China - a city well known for a major earthquake in the '70s - before moving to a small town east of Vancouver. I went on to study electrical engineering at UBC, where my friend and I created a visual note-taking app that unexpectedly went viral online! We caught the attention of investors like YC and Daniel Gross, which led us to drop out and pursue it full-time. After a couple of years, we realized it wasn't something we wanted to pursue further, so we wrapped things up.
